Demons fall to Bloodhounds
The Washington volleyball team will prepare for a rivalry match against Fairfield tonight, after the Demons fell in their most recent contest on Thursday night.

The Washington volleyball team will prepare for a rivalry match against Fairfield tonight, after the Demons fell in their most recent contest on Thursday night.
The Demons traveled to take on Fort Madison that night, but the ranked Bloodhounds won in straight sets 25-10, 25-28, 25-14, dropping Washington to 0-10.
Isabel Bailey led the team with six kills and six blocks (four solo) on the night, while juniors Morgan Brinning and Kylee Porter each hit double-digit digs in the game.
Megan Mitchell continued her steady play as the Demons? setter, notching 10 assists for the 16 Demon kills in the match. Alexis Turner was 16-for-16 on the serve for the Demons.
The match with Fairfield will be at 7 p.m. at Washington.
Mid-Prairie
The Mid-Prairie volleyball team fell in a heartbreaker on Thursday night, dropping a five-set match to Monticello.
The Golden Hawks earned solid set wins in the first two games of the match, 25-18, 25-19, before Monticello turned things on and edged out wins in games 3 and 4, each by the score of 25-23.
In the fifth set, Mid-Prairie couldn?t get back on top, falling 15-11, dropping their second contest of the season and falling to 4-2.
Sophomore Jaedynn Evans had 23 kills, 18 digs and three aces in the contest, all team highs for Mid-Prairie, while Clarice Murphy led the team with 30 assists on the night.
The Golden Hawks host Regina on Tuesday night.
Highland
The Highland volleyball team cruised to a win on Thursday night, picking up a straight-set victory over English Valleys.
The Huskies picked up the 25-7, 25-10, 25-13 victory over EV behind five kills from junior Bailey Harmston, while Kelsey Hora led the team with 10 digs and 28-for-28 serving on the night.
Murphy Beinhard had seven assists on the night.
Highland improved to 10-4 on the season and has now won six straight contests, heading into a conference match-up with Iowa Mennonite at home on Tuesday night.
