FORT MADISON — Washington girls soccer has played some close games these past two weeks, with three of the last five being decided by one goal or less.
On Monday night, the Demons faced off with the current Southeast Conference second seeded Bloodhounds of Fort Madison. This time things were a little different for the Demons as they were held scoreless in a 3-0 loss.
Despite the three goal loss, the Demons were right there throughout. After one half, Washington only trailed Fort Madison 1-0, but the Demons couldn’t find a way to score.
Meanwhile, the Bloodhound went on to tally two additional goals in the second.
With the loss, the Demons fall to 1-3 in SEC play and 2-5 overall. Washington will look to get back on track on Thursday against Keokuk.
