District boys wrestling sites announced

The 2024 Iowa high school wrestling district schedule has been released, as well as sites for each district. The Union area teams are split into two Class 1A districts and three Class 2A districts.

All district tournaments will take place on Saturday, Feb. 10. The Top-2 placewinners in each class will advance to the 2023 IHSAA tournament.

CLASS 1A

District 3 (Truro): BGM, Cardinal, East Union, I-35, Lynnville-Sully, Martensdale-St. Mary’s, Montezuma, Moravia, Nodaway Valley, Southeast Warren and Wayne.

District 8 (Pleasantville): Baxter, Colfax-Mingo, English Valleys, Lone Tree, North Mahaska, Pekin, Pleasantville, Regina, Sigourney-Keota, Van Buren County and West Branch.

CLASS 2A

DISTRICT 3 (Fairfield): Albia, Davenport Assumption, Notre Dame, Centerville, Fairfield, Keokuk, Mediapolis and Mt. Pleasant.

DISTRICT 9 (Solon) Camanche, Central Dewitt, Columbus/WMU, Mid-Prairie, Mount Vernon, Solon, Tipton and West Liberty.

District 12 (Williamsburg): Anamosa, Davis County, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, Grinnell, South Tama County, Vinton-Shellsburg, Washington and Williamsburg.
