While the full official list of Washington track athletes who qualified for the state meet in Des Moines hasn?t been released as of press time, we know of some going based on their finishes from the district track meet held in Mt. Pleasant Thursday, May 11.
Hannah Anderson qualified in two events. She took first in the long jump with a distance of 17 feet 3 inches and came in second-place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.52.
The 4x200-meter relay team of Leah Marek, Ashley Telleen, Isabel Bailey and Jenah Greiner took second with a time of 1:49.78.
Some with third-place finishes might have fast enough times to qualify if they are part of the top eight performances from across the state.
Look for the full list of area state track participants Monday, May 15.
