Dorothy J. Wagner, 77, of Salem, died Friday, May 15, 2015, at her home in Salem.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the Salem East Cemetery in Salem with Rev. David Legge officiating. Friends may call after 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant where the family will present from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established in her memory.

Dorothy J. Wagner, 77, of Salem, died Friday, May 15, 2015, at her home in Salem.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the Salem East Cemetery in Salem with Rev. David Legge officiating. Wagner was born on Feb. 14, 1938, at Germanville, the daughter of John and Ida Boese Wieneke. She was united in marriage to Chester R. Wagner on May 26, 1962, at Germanville; he preceded her in death.
She worked at various jobs before going to work at Metromail in Mt. Pleasant, where she worked until retirement. Wagner enjoyed collecting Santa Claus?, salt and pepper shakers and quilting. She was a member of the Salem Congregational Church.
Wagner is survived by three children, John (Vanessa) Wagner, of Salem; Ronald (Karen) Wagner, of Ft. Madison; and Kamie Roberts, of Mt. Pleasant; seven grandchildren; two adopted grandchildren; and two adopted great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chester; two brothers, Earl ?Jack? Wieneke; and Junior Wieneke; and one sister, Emma Wieneke.
