A slew of small school Union area athletes competed in the 2024 Drake Relays this past weekend.

With the top track and field athletes from around the state competing, just one area athlete pick up a Drake Relays win.

That was Mid-Prairie’s Jayden Stafford, who was the winner of the 400-meter wheelchair.

In all, the Union area was represented in nine events on the small school side.
