Driscoll claims 2 titles at SEC meet

FAIRFIELD - Mt. Pleasant High School swept the Southeast Conference track titles Thursday. Washington's boys were second and the girls tied eokuk for third.
The only individual champion for Washington was Mitchell Driscoll and he was the winner in two events.
Driscoll won the 200 meters and the 400 meters. The longer race was a closer finish.
Driscoll won the 200 in 23.34 seconds while second place was Fairfield's Caden Jones in 23.88.
Driscoll won the 400 by one-thousandth of a second. His time was 51.53 and Mt. Pleasant's Rylan Seberg was 51.54.
The Demons also claimed a conference title in the distance medley, winning in 3 minutes, 46.2 seconds with Trevor Quigley, Luke Turner, Ethan Hunt and Justin Simmering.
Washington's girls were conference champions in three events - the 4x100 meter relay, the 4x2 and the 4x4.
Leah Marek, Isabel Bailey, Jenah Greiner and Ashley Telleen provided the winning time of 52.21 in the 4x1. The same four won the 4x2 but ran a different order. Bailey, Marek, Telleen and Greiner eclipsed Mt. Pleasant by nearly 2 seconds, winning in 1:50.85. Marek, Greiner, Telleen and Kelsey pach won the 4x4 with a time of 4:20.11.
