Duwa doubles down, Greiners double up for Keota at track meet
Eagles senior wins 2 events, Greiners win throws, Scott gets points

MARENGO — Brady Duwa was a half inch short of flying 20 feet through the air Thursday at Iowa Valley’s track meet, the Rick Wanamaker Invitational.
Keota’s boys finished sixth with 58 points and the Eagle girls were seventh.
Duwa won the long jump with a distance of 19 feet, 11½ inches. Duwa won the 100 meters in 11.53 seconds, and Eagles teammate Wyatt Sieren ran his best 400 of the season to win in 52.6 seconds.
Keota’s Bryce Greiner keeps adding distance to his shot puts and won the event by more than 4 feet at 43-6½. Brandon Greiner spun up his best discus toss of 120-7 more than 13 feet farther than second place. Each Greiner finished fifth in the other’s winning event.
Sieren added a third-place high jump of 5-8 and was fourth in the 200 in 24.2 seconds.
Madison Scott scored 16 of Keota’s 17 points with two second places. She ran the 100 in 14.33 and the 200 in 29.9. Nicole Clarahan picked up the other point with her sixth-place time of 21.62 in the 100 hurdles.
