NORTH ENGLISH — Aidan Anderson was untouchable on the mound and the Eagles manufactured three runs as the Keota Baseball team moved to 4-1 on the year with a 3-0 shutout of English Valleys on Wednesday night.
Anderson threw 104 pitches in seven shut out innings, giving up just two hits and two walks while striking out 13 English Valleys batters.
Keota itself only tallied two hits on the day. Evan Vittetoe was 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI. Dalton Dodd was 1-for-3, and Tanner Waterhouse knocked in one run.
Cole Kindred scored two runs for the Eagles. Colten Clarahan came across once.
The Eagles have now won four games in a row after dropping the opening game to Highland. Keota shut out Chariton 3-0 and Twin Cedars 10-0 before defeating Belle Plaine 10-3.
The Eagles will take on rival Sigourney at Keota High School on Friday night.
