Eighth grade A-team dominates

The Mt. Pleasant eighth-grade boys' team had dominant wins on back-to-back Mondays at the end of January. The Panther 'A” team blasted Keokuk 43-8 in their game on Jan. 21, and followed that with a 43-25 win over Aldo Leopold on Monday.
Scoring was balanced for the Panthers in their 35-point win over Keokuk. Kyler Stott led the team with 10 points. Carter Amos had nine. Will Davidson scored eight, and Bryce Wilson had six.
The Panther 'C” team also played. They fell to the Chiefs 24-19.
Amos led the way in the 'A” team's 18-point win over Aldo Leopold. He scored 14 points in the win. He and Stott combined to outscore Aldo Leopold themselves, as Stott finished the game with 12.
