Eighth grade girls claim A and B doubleheader win at home
The Mt. Pleasant eighth grade girls? basketball team swept Aldo Leopold with an ?A? and ?B? victory last night in Mt. Pleasant.
The A team won by a score of 36-25, and the B team topped their opponents by a final of 22-16.
In the A game, Mt. Pleasant held the lead at the end of each quarter, going up 10-6 after the first, 16-14 at halftime, and 26-18 after the third quarter.

Carolyn Lutovsky put up 21 points for the Panthers.
Sidney Taylor added seven, Megan Shumaker added six and Elle Schleisma and Delayna Cotton scored two points each.
The A team is now 2-5 on the season.
The B team upped its record to 6-1 with the win.
They also led at the end of each quarter during the game, with a 12-6 advantage after the first, a 14-10 lead at halftime, and a 18-12 edge at the end of the third quarter.
In this game, the Panther girls spread out the scoring. Danielle Coffin, Ally Davis, Jade Kennedy, Samantha Lanphier and Tabitha Liechty each had four points.
Morgan Fraise scored two points.
Both teams will play again on Monday at Ottumwa at 4:30 p.m.
