Elinor A. Fordyce, 96, of Fairfield, died Sunday, April 8, 2012, at home.
??A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Fell Cemetery, south of Libertyville. A celebration of life service will follow at 11 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville, with the Rev. Peg Ellingson officiating.
A register book may be signed noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Mrs. Fordyce was born Dec. 15, 1915, in Stockport, the daughter of Fred L. and Effie Carmichael Johnston. She married Kenneth Leroy Fordyce April 3, 1934, in Memphis, Mo. He died July 27, 1964.
Mrs. Fordyce lived most of her life in the Libertyville area. She was a homemaker and worked in the Jefferson County Hospital kitchen for 18 years.
Mrs. Fordyce was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.
Her interests included crossword puzzles.
??Survivors include four children: Robert Gene and wife Linda of Libertyville, Gordon Lee and wife Karen of Davenport, Dana Bruce and wife Bonnie of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Jane Ellen Jackson and husband Ronnie of San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister: Martha Carlson of Winfield.??
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings and two grandchildren.
