MOUNT VERNON — Fairfield baseball came up short against Mount Vernon on Monday night.
The Trojans held a 3-2 lead after two and a half innings, but the Mustangs scored five unanswered runs to win it.
Cason Miller led the Trojans with two hits and one RBI. Voss Richardson had a hit and RBI as well. Dain Burkhart and Luke Konczal each had a hit as well.
The Trojans will kick off postseason play against Mt. Pleasant on Friday.
