Fairfield bowlers sweep Mt. Pleasant

FAIRFIELD - The Fairfield and Mt. Pleasant bowling teams met up on Saturday, Dec. 14 for a Southeast Conference showdown. The Trojans won both matches, taking the boys meet 2096-2597 and winning the girls meet 682-571.
The Trojan boys were led by Chance Swan, who rolled a 211 in his first game and a 230 in his second game to end up with a score of 441. Ben Johnson rolled a 179 and a 161 to finish at 340 for the Trojans' second-best score. Anthony Osborn rolled a 165 and a 172 for a total of 337.
Jacob Scotton and Drake Rippey each rolled 332. Scotton bowled a 179 and a 153, and Rippey finished with 174 and 158. Drake Drish rounded out the Trojan boys with a 307, bowling a 167 and a 140.
Ethan Oilar rolled a 338 to lead Mt. Pleasant. He put up a 189 in his first game and a 149 in his second game. Logan White rolled a 166 and a 133 to finish out at 299. Levi Mills rolled a 136 and a 157 to score 293.
Justin Alldredge rolled a 139 and a 101 to score 240. Tyler Fitzpatrick rolled a 109 and a 113 to finish out at 222, and Nolan Myers rolled a 96 and a 119 to score 215.
Fairfield outscored Mt. Pleasant in baker games, winning 815-677. Fairfield's games went 162, 151, 190, 156 and 156. Mt. Pleasant rolled 121, 138, 131, 152 and 135.
The Fairfield girls were led by Karen Ehret. The freshman rolled a 146 in her first game and a 158 in her second game to end the day at 304. Willow Elliot rolled a 157 and a 146 to finish at 303.
Lilly Huff rolled a 124 and a 135 to score 259. Bailey Hird rolled 125 and 128 to finish at 253. McKayla Taylor rolled a 125 anda 100 to finish at 225, and Nellie Higdon finished with a 121 and an 88 to score 209.
Mt. Pleasant's Alexis Wohlleber was the leading individual on the day, scoring 363. She rolled a 172 in her first game and a 191 in her second. Gillian Anderson rolled a 137 and a 150 to finish at 287.
Arlouney Phosy rolled 108 and 160 to score 268. Megan Smith rolled a 95 and a 138 to finish at 233. Morelia Elias-Sixtos bowled a 92 and a 100 to score 192, and Jackie Tansey rolled an 88 and an 83 to finish at 171.
Fairfield only had a one-pin lead heading into the baker round, but they put their foot on the pedal. Fairfield went 148, 161, 133, 112, 128 to score a 682, and Mt. Pleasant went 107, 105, 138, 109, 112 to score 571.
