Fairfield bowling sweeps Mt. Pleasant

MT. PLEASANT - The Fairfield bowling teams picked up two Southeast Conference wins at Mt. Pleasant's Iris Bowling Center on Thursday afternoon. The Trojans beat the Panthers 2,020-1,937 in the girls matchup and won the boys contest 2,955-2,571.
The Fairfield girls used a consistant individual game round to pull past the Panthers. All six varsity bowlers rolled 248 or above.
Karen Ehret led the way for Fairfield, rolling a 157 in her first game and a 154 in her second game to finish out at 311. Lily Huff rolled a 166 and a 117 to score 283, and McKayla Taylor bowled a 125 and a 142 for a total of 267.
Bailey Hird was fourth on the Trojan team, rolling a 111 and a 144 to finish the day at 255. Nellie Higdon (99, 149) and Sophia Mineart (122, 126) each scored 248.
The Panther girls were led by Alexis Wohlleber's 297. She rolled a 171 in her first game and a 126 in her second. Eden Svoboda rolled a 148 and a 129 to close the round out at 277, and Arlouny Phosy rolled a 135 and a 177 to finish at 252.
Gillian Anderson rolled 101 and 123 to finish the day at 224. Megan Smith (105, 80) rolled a 185 and Jackie Tansey (81, 86) finished at 167.
Fairfield's baker games went 105, 141, 136, 119 and 155 for a total of 656. Mt. Pleasant rolled 172, 127, 143, 138 and 122 for 702.
The Fairfield boys had three bowlers over 400. Chance Swan rolled a 205 and a 244 to lead the way at 449. Anthony Osborn rolled 190 and 216 to finish at 406, and Drake Rippey rolled a 107 and a 194 to score 401.
Jacob Scotton bowled 181 and 203 for a total of 384. Wyatt Baker (192, 254) finihsed at 346, and Ben Johnston (163, 160) rolled a 323.
Mt. Pleasant had two players over 400. Ethan Oiler rolled a 225 and a 191 to finish at 416, and Logan White rolled 180 and 224 to close the round out at 404.
Levi Mills rolled 189 and 195 for a 384. Nolan Myers went 152 and 155 to finish at 307. Levi Svobod (137, 134) finished at 271, and Tyler Fitzpatrick (126, 144) was right behind him with a 270.
Fairfield outscored Mt. Pleasant in boys baskers, going 193, 176, 204, 192 and 204 to finish at 969. Mt. Pleasant rolled 169, 168, 157, 126 and 169 for a total of 789.
