Fairfield bowling swept by Keokuk

KEOKUK - It doesn't get much harder in the Southeast Conference bowling scene than a road meet at Keokuk, but that's the reality the Fairfield squads faced Tuesday.
The Trojans couldn't pull off any SEC upset, falling 2,814-2,488 in the boys meet and 3,025-1,998 in the girls contest.
Although the Fairfield team score wasn't the highest, the Trojans had the best individual score. Wyatt Baker was the highest roller of either team in the boys meet, finishing out at 430. He rolled two games above 200, going for 214 and 216.
Chance Swan rolled a 375 for the Trojans. Drake Drish finished at 341 to give Fairfield three bowlers above 300.
Gannonn Scott finished the day at 259. Quint Stark rolled a 229, and Cristopher Kyle rounded out the Trojan boys with a 228.
The Fairfield boys lost the baker games 950-854. The Trojans' baker games went 181, 150, 212, 152 and 159.
Trojan girls were led by Bailey Hird, who rolled a 303 on the day for the only Fairfield score over 300. Hird rolled a career-best 170 in her first game, and followed that with a 133.
Other Trojans were Hope Brammer rolled a 279. McKayla Taylor finished at 273. Arianna Taylor rolled a 255. Lilly Huff went for 251, and Jayden Burke finished at 223.
The Trojan girls lost the baker games 1,015-637. Fairfield went 119, 121, 157, 111 and 129.
The Fairfield bowling team will be back in action Monday when they host Davis County at Champion Bowl in Ottumwa.
