Fairfield bowling takes two against Washington
The Trojans picked up two wins on Monday afternoon against the Demons

FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield boys and girls bowling teams couldn’t have asked for a better outcome on Monday afternoon in a matchup with Southeast Conference rival Washington.
The Trojan’s walked away with victories in both the boys and girls competition. Fairfield defeated Washington 2273-1668 on the boys side and 1654-993 on the girls end.
Gannon Scott was the highest placer for Fairfield, finishing in second with 362 total pins. He was followed by Ian Aplara in fourth with 294. Chase Johnston finished sixth with 273. Josh Mineart had 269 for seventh. Bihn Troung bowled 246 for eighth. Dalton Drish ended with 240 total pins for ninth.
Despite falling in the matchup, Washington had bright spots. Caleb Zieglowsky continues to bowl well. He finished with a game-high 371 pins. His score was followed by Ethan Zieglowsky in third with 322 pins, Cole Anderson in fourth with 311, and Ismat Abdurahimov in tenth with a score of 238.
Fairfield improves to 3-5 overall and 3-3 in the SEC. Washington falls to 1-3 in both categories.
On the girls side Fairfield handled itself well. Jayden Burke led the way with 270 pins for the Trojans. Karen Ehret followed with a close second of 266 pins. Abigail Ford finished sixth with 203. Elizabeth Hootman grabbed seventh place with 187 pins. Maggie Peterson ended up in eighth with a score of 178 and Nicole Robb rounded out the Trojans in ninth with 166.
The Demons had just three girls compete in the competition. Leigha Heisdorffer came away with a third-place finish with a score of 210, tying with teammate Emma Chenoweth. Tatum Peterson finished fifth with 209 pins.
Fairfield moves to 4-4 overall and in the conference, while Washington drops to 0-10.
