Fairfield bowling teams swept by Burlington

FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield bowling teams were taken down by Burlington in a Southeast Conference meet at Flamingo Lanes on Tuesday. The greyhounds edged the Trojan boys 2,469-2,451, and sneaked past the Trojan girls 2,004-1,858.
On the boys’ side, Fairfield’s Chase Johnston had a nice outing, bowling 431 to lead the team by over 100 pins. Ethan Cass rolled a 330. Josh Mineart finished at 326.
Gannon Scott took fourth on the Fairfield team, rolling 296. Ian Aplara shot 276, and Colton Adkison finished at 210.
On the girls’ side, Karen Ehret once again led the way with a 382. Nicole Robb finished at 247. Jayden Burke rolled 242. Elizabeth Hootman finished at 231. Maggie Peterson rolled 175, and Abigail Ford finished the day at 171.
The Fairfield boys are now 3-6. The Trojan girls are 4-5. The Trojans will be back in action on Feb. 8 at the SEC tournament in Keokuk.
