Fairfield Elks hosts junior golf tourney
The Fairfield Elks Lodge hosted the 2011 Junior Golf Tournament at Walton Club Tuesday morning.
Six golfers participated in the free event and the top finishers in each age division qualified for the state tournament scheduled for Aug. 5 at Perry Golf and Country Club.

Six golfers participated in the free event and the top finishers in each age division qualified for the state tournament scheduled for Aug. 5 at Perry Golf and Country Club.
Davis Lowenberg led all golfers with a round of 72 in the 16-17 age group. Nick Higgins was the 12-13-year old winner with an 82, and Michael Flournoy tallied a nine-hole score of 66 in the 10-11 division.
In the 14-15 age group, Mickey DeAnglelis led the way with an 89, Brandon Prather fired a 115 and Austin Corrick checked in at 118.
