Fairfield ends up ninth in girls? golf
BURLINGTON ? Senior Ashley Henkel fired a 106 on the 18-hole Flint Hills course Monday, leading the Trojan girls? golf team to a ninth-place finish at Burlington?s Grayhound Invitational.
Madelyn Swan had a 117 and fellow freshman Lindsey Repp carded a 119. Senior Claire Slechta also scored for Fairfield, which ended up with a 468 in the 14-team field.

Alternates for Fairfield were senior Kristen Terrell (131) and freshman Abby Adam (137).
Pleasant Valley won the championship with a final tally of 348. Burlington finished runner-up at 373 and Mount Pleasant was third with 386.
Fairfield is back in action Thursday at Oskaloosa.
