Fairfield falls to unbeaten Solon

FAIRFIELD - The visitors from Solon High School stayed unbeaten and took a 54-6 win over the Fairfield football team Friday.
Senior Carter Ferrel notched the Fairfield touchdown when he ran a kickoff return into the end zone from 90 yards out.
Ferrel led the Trojans with 13 carries for 24 yards, caught two passes for six yards and completed a pass to senior Elan Ledger for 20 yards. Freshman Isaac Harris was 3 of 9 passing for 18 yards. Max Weaton had a 12-yard reception.
Drew Martin led the Trojan defense with 9.5 tackles including eight solo stops. He had a solo tackle for loss, as did Gabe Zimmer and Kyle Godwin.
