Fairfield football gets Keokuk in week four
Trojans look to get back on track on the road at Chiefs

KEOKUK — Fairfield football will be looking to get back on track this Friday when it heads down to Keokuk for a matchup with the Chiefs.
The Trojans come into the week four matchup off a close loss to Washington 34-26. Prior to that, Fairfield dominated Fort Madison 55-15 and lost an overtime battle to Mt. Pleasant 13-12 to begin the season.
Meanwhile, Keokuk comes off its first win of the season. The Chiefs beat up on Burlington in week three 45-7.
The Chiefs were defeated in a pair of games to begin the season, falling to Pella 40-13 and Ottumwa 47-26.
Fairfield hasn’t thrown the ball a lot this season, but Voss Richardson leads the Trojans with 82 passing yards.
On the ground, Luke Konczal has 225 yards rushing with two touchdowns. Zandrik Allison follows with 181 yards and three scores.
In the receiving column, Ethan Bisgard has five receptions for 75 yards.
Konczal also has a team high 16 tackles for the Trojans.
As for Keokuk, Brenton Hoard has thrown for 590 yards and seven touchdowns. He’s also rushed for 211 yards and three scores.
In the receiving department, Mason Claus had nine catches for 162 yards. Drew Campbell had eight receptions for 155 yards as well.
On the defensive end, Mason Claus has 35.5 tackles with 5.5 tackles for a loss.
The two teams are set to face off at 7:30 on Friday.
