MOUNT PLEASANT ? Rain shortened Fairfield?s dual vs. Mount Pleasant Thursday, but the Trojans had done enough to pick up their second win of the season.
Fairfield won five of six singles matches to win a 5-3 match against a Panther team that had won a 5-4 match just last week.
Megan Palmer and Alex Higdon?s match at No. 3 doubles was suspended by rain with the score 2-2.
Ena Alcan continued her strong run at the top of the Fairfield lineup with an 8-3 victory at No. 1 singles. Dana Diers, Jennifer Clements, Palmer and Higdon followed suit with their own singles victories to clinch the win.
The Trojans also picked up wins in the two JV matches as Dallas Grijalva and Kim O?Carroll won in singles play.
