Fairfield girl golfers shoot under Mustangs
KEOKUK ? The Fairfield girls? golf team turned in a season-best 222 to record its first win of the season Thursday.
The Trojans? 222 was enough to squeeze below Davis County?s 225 in triangular competition at Keokuk. The host Chiefs won the meet with a 210 team total.
Abbi Messer led the Trojans with a medalist score of 46. Ashley Henkel (57), Rachael Gros (58) and Tori Ogden (61) also scored for Fairfield. ...

Abbi Messer led the Trojans with a medalist score of 46. Ashley Henkel (57), Rachael Gros (58) and Tori Ogden (61) also scored for Fairfield. Trojan alternates were Kristen Terrell with a 64 and Haley Williams firing a 76.
Katie Edwardson of Keokuk shot a 48 as the runner-up medalist.
The Trojans will again compete against Davis County with a meet set for Bloomfield Tuesday.
