Fairfield girls soccer team falls on road

MEDIAPOLIS — The Fairfield girls soccer team traveled to Mediapolis for a nonconference match Tuesday. The Trojans were nipped by one goal, falling 3-2.
Mediapolis took a 2-1 lead into halftime, with Fairfield’s lone first half goal coming from Clare Else.
Else scored again in the second half, but the Bullettes put up one of their own and the Trojans couldn’t tie it back up at the end of the game.
Fairfield is now 1-6 overall this year. The Trojans will look to improve on their 1-4 Southeast Conference record on Thursday when they host Mt. Pleasant.
