Fairfield girls swept by Davis County

BLOOMFIELD — For the Fairfield girls tennis team, the trip to Davis County was a tough out.

The Trojans were defeated by the Mustangs in a complete sweep through singles and doubles, 9-0.

Sydney Wells was edged in a tightly contested No. 1 match 9-8 (8-6).

In the No. 2 matchup, Madison Greiner fell to Abby Warning 8-3.

Fairfield’s Emma Wendland was defeated 8-3 as well by the Mustangs Jada Will.

Giteeka Adhikari came up short in the No. 4 match, 8-4. Adhikari was bested by Addison Stuchel.

Una Carter was defeated by Leah Rudd 8-1 and Lola Hatchette lost to Culee Smith 8-0.

In doubles, Wells and Greiner were topped by Maddie Warning and Will 8-4.

Wendland and Adhikari fell to Abby Warning and Stuchel 8-2.

In the No. 3 match, Carter and Hatchette were defeated by Rudd and Smith 8-0.
