Fairfield girls takes third at EBF Girls Rocket Relays
Trojans end with three first place finishes

EDDYVILLE — The Fairfield girls track and field team was in action Thursday night, taking a trip over to Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont for the EBF Girls Rocket Relays.
It was a solid night for the Trojans as they finished third overall with 98 points.
The home Rockets took the invitational title with a 154 total points. That was 54 points higher than second place North Mahaska.
Chariton (97 points) finished fourth, North Polk (58 points) and Sigourney (55 points) finished fifth and sixth respectively.
Fairfield ended with just three first-place finishes, two individual and one relay.
Lilly Bergren took the 100-meter hurdles title, Elyse Setterstrom threw to a win in the discus and the Trojan’s shuttle hurdle relay was victorious as well.
However, the Trojan put up a slew of top five finishes, 17 in total.
