Fairfield girls tennis edges Keokuk
Boys meet rained out in Keokuk

FAIRFIELD — Monday’s afternoons tennis match between Fairfield and Keokuk was anyone game.
The two teams were tied following the singles matches, but the Trojans prevailed 5-4 following the doubles matches.
Tess Paton took care of business in her singles match, thrashing her opponent 8-0.
In the No. 2 match, Sydney Wells was a winner 8-4.
Madison Greiner fell in her No. 3 match 8-1.
Giteeka Adhikari fought to an 8-4 win.
Emma Wendland was bested in her contest 8-1.
Emily Simpson battled until the very end, but was defeated 8-6.
Heading into the doubles, the Trojans needed to win two of the three to pull out the victory. They did just that.
Paton and Greiner dominated their match, 8-1. Wells and Adhikari took care of business, picking up the win the Trojans needed 8-4. Wendland and Simpson were defeated in their match 8-3.
On the boys side, Fairfield was leading in every singles match before rain stopped play prematurely.
