MT. PLEASANT — Fairfield and Mt. Pleasant girls tennis met at East Lake Park on Monday night and it ended up being a wonderful night for the Trojans.
Fairfield picked up a sweeping victory over Mt. Pleasant, winning all nine matches.
Individually, Poojita Mukadam was a winner for the Trojans in the number one matchup. Mukadam defeated Bethany Drury 8-2.
Natalie Steele was a winner in the number two spot. Steele defeated Audrey Richmond 8-0. Sriya Yammanur was an 8-4 winner over Halaina Crane.
Emma Wendland notched a 3-0 win over Zoey Carlsen. Faith Jones topped Lila Cook 8-1 and Faeven Gebremariam won against Hannah Villaplaza 8-0.
In doubles, the duo of Mukadam and Steele defeated Drury and Richmond 8-0. Yammanur and Wendland closed out a 8-1 win over Crane and Smith. Finally, Jones and Lola Hatchette bested Cook and Villaplaza 8-5.
