Fairfield girls win, boys lose on the alleys
Trojans split Southeast Conference clash with Burlington

FAIRFIELD — So far this season it has been the Fairfield boys bowling team that has manufactured more wins than the Trojan girls, but that wasn’t the case on Thursday at Flamingo Lanes.
It was the Fairfield girls who pulled out a Southeast Conference win over Burlington. The Trojans won by over 150, taking out the Grayhounds 1,956-1,793. The boys fell in a close one, 2,590-2,510.
Rae Ehret paced the Fairfield girls with a 352 on the day. The Trojan senior had a high game of 179, and beat the rest of her teammates by 74 pins.
Elizabeth Hootman was the second Trojan on the scoreboard, finishing at 278. Grace Forrest shot 272. Nicole Robb shot 265. Kiara Bickham finished at 227. Eleanore Houston bowled a 225.
The Trojan boys were led by Ian Aplara, who finished at 350 on the day. He also had the high game, of 181. Dayson Workman was right behind him in total pins, with 342, and nearly had the high game with a 180.
Dalton Drish rolled a 333. Ethan Cass finished at 310. Chase Johnson rolled a 308, and Dylan Adam finished at 277.
The Fairfield girls are now 2-3 on the season. The boys fell to 4-1.
