Fairfield golfers washed away in Mt. Pleasant
MOUNT PLEASANT ? Mount Pleasant put all four scorers underneath Fairfield in their 193-227 win over Fairfield in girls golf Monday afternoon in cold conditions ? weather that is quickly becoming a theme this season.

MOUNT PLEASANT ? Mount Pleasant put all four scorers underneath Fairfield in their 193-227 win over Fairfield in girls golf Monday afternoon in cold conditions ? weather that is quickly becoming a theme this season.
Sami Herman fired a 53 at Mount Pleasant Country Club to lead Fairfield, but Mount Pleasant?s low round of 43 from Emily Prellwitz earned her medalist honors. Allison Delker and Ashley Thompson each fired a 56 for Fairfield and Jackie Osby carded a 62 to conclude the Trojan scoring.
Nicole Nelson shot a 68 and Lindsey Higgins finished with a 72 in other varsity scores for Fairfield. Meredith Carnahan took 72 strokes, Liz Hamilton 78 in JV play.
Karley Ruschill (49), Natalie Booton (50) and Tyler Hill (51) completed the Mount Pleasant scoring behind Prellwitz.
Fairfield will take part in a three-team meet Thursday in Keokuk vs. the Chiefs and Washington.
