Fairfield JV, freshman volleyball teams beat Bloodhounds
The Fairfield JV and freshman volleyball teams ended the season on a high note Thursday vs. Fort Madison.
The JV squad earned a 25-14, 25-16 sweep against the Bloodhounds.

The Fairfield JV and freshman volleyball teams ended the season on a high note Thursday vs. Fort Madison.
The JV squad earned a 25-14, 25-16 sweep against the Bloodhounds.
Leading the way was McKenna Ledger with five kills and four blocks. Ashley Manning had 13 blocks and two aces, Allison Angstead tallied two aces and six assists and Sydney Burnett also added two aces and six assists. Hanna Greiner recorded five kills and two blocks.
The freshman match went to three games but Fairfield came through in the third set, winning 25-11, 20-25, 15-9.
Karley Williams was the Trojans? top hitter with nine kills and 14 digs. Madison Roberts came through with four kills and three blocks. Hannah Morgan, Paris Bickham and Alexis Ring had one block apiece.
Ring fed the offense with 10 assists.
Behind the service line, Roberts had five aces, Williams had three and Ring had two.
The JV squad finishes the season 12-19 with a 6-2 Southeast Conference mark, while the freshman team is SEC champs with a 18-7 record overall and 7-1 mark in conference play.
