The Fairfield JV boys? basketball team lost in Fort Madison 44-31 Thursday.
Nick Higgins led the Trojans with 13 points. Landon Greiner scored seven points, grabbed four rebounds, and led the team with four steals. Alex Simpson scored two points and secured five rebounds.

JV boys narrowly lose to Danville
The Fairfield JV boys? basketball team lost in Fort Madison 44-31 Thursday.
Nick Higgins led the Trojans with 13 points. Landon Greiner scored seven points, grabbed four rebounds, and led the team with four steals. Alex Simpson scored two points and secured five rebounds.
The boys almost pulled out a win Saturday against Danville, but would fall 45-44.
Higgins and Simpson were huge again for Fairfield, with 16 and 19 points, respectively. Greiner finished with two points, seven rebounds and two steals. Cody Craff scored two points and got three steals.
The boys are now 1-8 on the season.
JV girls win two weekend contests
The Fairfield JV girls? basketball team won two games over the weekend, improving its record to 9-1 on the season.
Fort Madison fell to the Trojans 52-38 Friday. Kaylee Watson scored 10 points and grabbed four rebounds. Sami Fritz scored nine points and got six rebounds. Karley Williams and Kenady Waugh each scored eight points and had four rebounds. Brynna Bowman scored five points. Mikaela Lunsford led Fairfield with eight rebounds.
The Trojans won the next night as well, beating Danville 59-22.
Kylie Kurtz led in scoring with 12 points. Taylor Ferrel scored seven points, and Brooke McLain chipped in six points. Mackenzie Flattery and Courtney Gilmore each scored five points. Molly Ryan scored three points and secured six rebounds.
