Fairfield JV hosts Burlington in finale
The Fairfield JV softball team wrapped up its season with one of its best nights of the year according to head coach Laura Atwood and split with visiting Burlington Thursday night.

The Fairfield JV softball team wrapped up its season with one of its best nights of the year according to head coach Laura Atwood and split with visiting Burlington Thursday night.
The Trojans scored in the bottom of the seventh to win game one 7-6 before falling 14-10 in game two.
Jolea Burkhart was the winning pitcher in the opener as she pitched a complete game. Miranda Metcalf and McKenna Ledger each hit doubles, Mackenzie McClure had two singles and Madison Roberts, Cheyenne Laux and Jasmine Elmore added one more hit apiece.
In game two, Baylee Bowman finished 3-3 with a double at the plate to lead the nine-hit Fairfield offense. Paris Bickam was 2-2 with two RBI while Roberts, Ledger, Bryana Gridley and Alyssa Fitch added more base hits. Katrina Jackson was tagged with the loss in the pitcher?s circle.
2010 FHS graduate Allison Delker was the assistant coach alongside Atwood for the season.
