Fairfield looks to get back on track
Trojans set to host Fort Madison after week two loss

FAIRFIELD — Fairfield football will look to get back in the win column this week after suffering its first loss of the season from the hands of Ottumwa last Friday.
The Trojans (1-1) are set to play host to the Bloodhounds of Fort Madison (2-0) in non-district battle.
Fairfield comes into the weekly contest with a dominating win over Mt. Pleasant in week one, 41-20, and the loss to Ottumwa, 22-16, last week.
On both sides of the ball, the Trojans have plenty of fire power.
Tate Allen runs the Trojans offensive scheme as good as anyone. He’s got seven total touchdown thus far, five in week one and two last time around.
Tighten Max Weaton has been a big target for Allen. Weaton has found the back of the end zone five times thus far.
In the ground game, Hunter Cecchini has been the Trojans main ball carrier. In week one, Cecchini rushed for 131 yards and one touchdown on 12 carries.
Fort Madison comes into Friday night game unblemished.
The Bloodhound’s two wins came against Keokuk, 22-13, and West Burlington, 17-6.
Aidan Boyer leads the Bloodhounds offense under center. Boyer has thrown for 299 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 97 rushing yards along with one touchdown.
Teague Smith leads the ground attack. Smith has rushed 27 times for 152 yards and two touchdowns.
The main receiver for Fort Madison is Henry Wiseman. Wiseman has five receptions for 130 yards and a touchdown. Kane Williams follows with 13 receptions for 77 yards.
On the defensive end, Hayden Segoviano leads with 13.5 total tackles.
Fort Madison currently holds a 3-2 advantage in the last five meetings between the two teams, winning last years meeting over the Trojans 55-14.
The game is set to begin at 7:30 at Fairfield High School.
