Fairfield loses opener to Central Lee
Trojans give up pair of goals in shutout loss to Hawks

FAIRFIELD -- Fairfield boys soccer had a rough finish to its season opener on Thursday night.
The Trojans were defeated on their home turf by the Hawks of Central Lee 2-0.
Fairfield kept it close throughout, but could never find the back of the net. The Trojans took nine shots in the match, with six heading to the target.
The two teams were scoreless through the first half, but Central Lee opened it up in the second.
The Hawks rattled off 15 shots on the Trojans, seven of which were on goal. The offensive pressure eventually boiled over and Central Lee put two points on the board in the second half.
Henry Swan finished with four saves for Fairfield. Binh Truong, Noah Patel and Oliver Siemsen all took two shots.
Fairfield drops to 0-1 and will look to get into the win column on Monday against WACO (2-0).
