WILLIAMSBURG ? Williamsburg scored four first-half touchdowns on its way to a 44-8 victory over Fairfield in JV football action Monday.
The Trojans were kept off the scoreboard until the fourth quarter, when Jonathan Hoehne scored on a 5-yard touchdown run and Tanner Deao crossed the goal line on a two-point conversion attempt.
?I don?t believe we were ready to play when the game started, and Williamsburg definitely took advantage to drive the ball for early touchdowns. Our kids played much better in the second half,? said Fairfield coach Brad Repp.
Hoehne led the Trojan ground game with 50 yards rushing, and Deao added 20. Keith Burns made two catches for 19 yards.
Alex Christensen and Max Spalla tallied four touchdowns each, and Bryce Lunsford made three stops to lead the Trojans on defense.
The Trojans (3-2) will be back in Fairfield next Monday hosting Mount Pleasant.
