The 2021 soccer seasons came to an end for two Union area girls teams Wednesday. Mid-Prairie lost 3-0 and Fairfield 8-0, both on the road.
In a Class 2A Region 5 semifinal, Fairfield lost at Tiffin to the Clear Creek-Amana Clippers. The home team had six goals by halftime.
The Trojans managed two shots on goal while their keeper Trisha Westphal made 24 saves.

The Golden Hawks played the Spartans to a scoreless tie in the first half.
Solon was able to get three balls past Hawks keeper Emily Swartzentruber in the second half to advance with the win.
