Fairfield, Mid-Prairie moving up
Both teams ranked No. 8 in respective class

CEDAR RAPIDS — Area teams are moving up in the eyes of coaches who vote in the boys soccer poll.
The Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association has released its second weekly rankings for the 2021 boys soccer season for all classes: 1A, 2A and 3A. The rankings are based on games through Saturday.
Fairfield and Mid-Prairie have moved to the No. 8 position in different classes. Fairfield was ranked 13th in Class 2A but has a victory over No. 10 Pella, which was ranked fifth.
Mid-Prairie was at No. 10. The Golden Hawks defeated then-No. 13 Mediapolis, chasing it from the rankings.
Southeast Conference member Fort Madison received votes. The Super Conference has Notre Dame ranked first in 1A and the River Valley Conference has West Liberty at No. 3 and Iowa City Regina at No. 6.
