FAIRFIELD — Fairfield boys soccer completed the season sweep of Washington on Monday night with a 5-0 victory.
It’s the second time the Trojans defeated the Demons this season, winning the first go around in a close 3-2 finish.
It was looking like the second meeting was going to be much like the first as the Demons trailed by just one after the first half.
However, Fairfield, who finished the night with 21 shots and 10 on goal, overwhelmed Washington in the second.
The Trojans went on to do the majority of their damage in the frame, posting four goals in the final half.
It was an efficient night for Binh Truong and Ian Richards who both finished the match with two goals and two assists each. Caleb Huff finished with a goal himself and Minh Truong dished out one assist.
In goal, Henry Swan got a glove to six Washington shots.
With the win Fairfield improves to 4-4-2, while Washington drops to 2-11 with the loss.
