Fairfield runs at Oskaloosa
Trojan girls take 8th, boys 10th in Indians’ home invite

OSKALOOSA — The Fairfield cross-country team took part in the Oskaloosa Invite on Tuesday, along with 10 other schools. The Trojan girls took eighth place, and the boys finished 11th.
Carley Seeley led the Trojans with a third-place finish in the girls’ race. Seeley edged out Albia’s Serene Thompson for the bronze, finishing the race in 21:26.6.
Malena Bloomquist took 31st overall, finishing in 24:08.3. Paige Bisgard finished 50th, in 25:25.9.
Caroline Van Pelt and Bailey Belzer crossed the tape in 54th and 55th respectively. Emerson Porter was 66th, and Lydia Cass finished 72nd.
On the boys’ side, Nate Konczal came across the line in 18th place overall, finishing in 18:22. Ben Boatright was the second Trojan across the line, taking 40th, in 19:29.1, and Gabe Tejada made the Top-50 as well, finishing 43rd, in 19:32.7.
Riley Perkins finished just outside the Top-50, finishing 53rd. John Miller took 58th. Drew Myers was 62nd, and Solomon Claussen finished 68th.
