Fairfield set for bounce back against South Tama
Trojans to battle Trojans in Class 3A District 5 contest

TAMA — After three straight weeks of being on the losing end of Friday night action, Fairfield football will look to get back on the winning track against South Tama.
The Trojan’s (2-4) will battle with South Tama (0-6) looking for their first Class 3A District 5 win.
Fairfield enters Friday nights matchup on a pair of losses to some tough competition.
The Trojans were defeated by Benton two weeks ago 38-0 and then faced off with the No. 1 team in Class 3A, Williamsburg. That ended with Williamsburg on top 56-14.
South Tama meanwhile, still is searching for its first victory of the season.
The Trojans faced off with Grinnell last week, falling 49-6. They were topped by Williamsburg the week prior 61-6.
For Fairfield, Sam Weaton has one touchdown through the air with 69 yards.
On the ground, Cason Miller has amassed 724 yards and six touchdowns. Miller is running at seven yard per carry.
Wyatt Johnson has 308 yards in the run game. Lucas Konczal comes in with 71 yards and one touchdown. Weaton had 52 yards and one score as well.
On the receiving end, Landon Nodurft has the Trojans lone touchdown. Bode Hoskins, Nodurft, Konczal, Miller and Tallon Bates all have above 20 yards receiving. Bates is the only one above 30 with 31.
Defensively, Weaton leads the Trojans with 21.5 tackles.
For South Tama, Daniel Wiese has 282 yards passing with two touchdowns.
Gavin Bridgewater leads on the ground with 174 yards and one touchdown. Wiese had 78 yards.
Jeramy Dolash comes in with 178 yards receiving.
Kyan McBride has 34.5 total tackles to lead South Tama.
Fairfield and South Tama are set to square off at 7 p.m. on Friday.
