Fairfield soccer sees loss against Burlington
Trojan boys and girls fall to Grayhounds in two Southeast Conference head-to-heads

Fairfield soccer had a rough night on Monday as the Trojans suffered two defeats from the feet of Burlington.
The Trojan boys hung tough, but ultimately fell to the Grayhounds 1-0. Meanwhile, the Trojan girls suffered an onslaught of offensive prowess in a 10-0 defeat.
Burlington’s single first half goal was all it needed to squeak by Fairfield.
The Trojan boys mustered five shots in the loss with two heading toward the target.
Carter Moore had two shots with one on target. Jaxon Kurka finished with one shot on goal. Danny Ellingaus and Carter Stark both had one shot.
In goal Dalton Drish made three saves. With the loss, Fairfield moves to 4-6 on the season and 2-5 in SEC play.
As for the Trojan girls, SEC leading Burlington scored early and often. Fairfield could never come back.
The Grayhounds scored a whopping seven goals in the first half and finished it off with three more through 55 minutes to take the conference win.
Burlington send 38 shots at the Trojans, 19 of which were on goal.
Fairfield drops to 0-11 on the season and 0-9 in the SEC.
