Fairfield Special Olympians medal in winter games
The Special Olympics Iowa State Winter Games were held Jan. 13-15 in Dubuque.
More than 400 athletes competed in Alpine and Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, figure skating and speed skating.
The Fairfield adult team medaled in the snowshoeing competition. Jessica Clements, Fabien Tourenne, Ronnie Withrow, Nicole Cotner and Joe Blain got second place in the 100-Meter race.
