Fairfield tennis flips Fort Madison
The Trojans fall in just one match

FAIRFIELD — For the Fairfield boys tennis team, Monday’s matchup against Fort Madison was a breeze.
The Trojans had no problem with the Bloodhounds, losing in just one match in the contest on their way to an 8-1 victory.
In the individual sets, it was a sweep for the Fairfield.
Fairfield’s Garrett Flanagan, Jace Hannes and Brendan Marcellus all won 6-0 in each of their two individual sets.
Dil Hurlin dominated his No. 4 match, winning both sets, 6-1 and 6-0. Aidan Flanagan and Grady Flynn were winners by forfeit.
The lone loss for the Trojans came in the No. 1 doubles match. Ethan Cass and Niko Emerson fell just short. Cass and Emerson won set one 6-4, but fell 4-6 (11-9) in the set two tie breaker.
Rylan Anderson and Rocky Galusha were doubles winners. They fell in the first set 3-6, but bounced back for 6-4 (14-12) tie breaking win.
Jack Unger and Aidan Flanagan took the final doubles match with a forfeit.
Fairfield, now 2-3, will play Davis County (0-5) on Tuesday and Maharishi (3-0) on Thursday.
