Fairfield tops field in Grayhound Invite
Trojan girls golf notches lowest score in six team field

BURLINGTON — The Fairfield girls golf team had everything clicking on Tuesday in Burlington as the Trojans finished the Burlington Invite with a win.
In the invitational, which featured Bettendorf, Burlington, Keokuk, Davenport West, Davenport North and Muscatine the Trojans finished with a team low of 378.
For Fairfield, the score was 25 strokes better than second-place Bettendorf, who finished with 403.
Leading the Trojans individually on the day was last years lone state tournament qualifier Myah Twohill.
Twohill finished her day with an 89.
Viola Welsh followed just three strokes behind. Welsh shot a 92 after 18 holes of action.
Sara Kretz finished the day with a 96. Kate Pettit carded a 101 in the competition.
Macy Rayburn shot a 103 in the meet and sister Maggie Rayburn tallied a 106 when all was said and done.
The victory marks the Trojans third of the season.
Fairfield has the rest of the week off and will be back in action next Wednesday in the Southeast Conference Tournament.
The Trojans will play host to the conference bout.
