Fairfield, Van Buren County, WMU in softball rankings

Fairfield still is in the fifth weekly softball rankings released Thursday by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.

Fairfield, ranked 13th, and two other Class 4A teams are within three games of having a .500 record.

Van Buren County stayed in the Class 2A rankings, but fell from 13 to 15.

Winfield-Mount Union moved up from 15 to 13 in 1A.
