Maggie Rayburn, Maddie Jones named co-MVP

FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield volleyball team handed out its end-of-season awards at its 2022 banquet recently. The Trojans honored eight different players for their contributions this season.
Co-MVP awards were given to hitter Maggie Rayburn and setter Maddie Jones. Macy Rayburn was named Best Offensive player, and Kiya Robertson earned the Best Defensive player award.
Lilly Bergren was awarded the Coaches Award. Savannah Hollander earned the Hustle Award. Addi Ferrel was named Most Improved, and Alison Megrath won the Spirit award.
The Trojan volleyball team went 17-17 this season. They were 8-2 in conference play, including a 4-1 run in the Southeast Conference tournament, which won them a conference title.
