Fairfield volleyball, football camps coming up next week

Registration remains open for Fairfield high school volleyball camp hosted by Fairfield Parks and Recreation along with the Trojan volleyball program.

The camp is open to players entering grades 8-12 and will run Aug. 1-5 from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

The camp is an opportunity for instruction and participation in an intense, technique-oriented practice setting. The skills of passing, setting, hitting and serving will by emphasized in drills involving individual and team concepts. Match play involving strategies and coverages on the court will also be implemented.

Trojan football camp begins Monday

Registration is open for the Fairfield Trojan Football camp, which is open to all players enter grades 7-12.

The 9-12th grade camp will be Aug. 2-5 from 6-8 p.m. at the Fairield High School practice field. The 7-8th grade camp will be Aug. 1-4 from 10 a.m. to noon at Fairfield Middle School.

Cost is $50 for each and includes t-shirt and shorts. Additional participants in the same family will only be charged $25.
