Fairfield volleyball sweeps Keokuk
Trojans take sole lead of the conference with win over Chiefs

KEOKUK — Fairfield volleyball left no doubt against Keokuk on Tuesday night of who should be at the top of the Southeast Conference (SEC).
The Trojans (7-8, 3-0) swept the Chiefs (5-7, 2-1) in the three set conference matchup 25-17, 25-27 and 25-12. With the win, Fairfield stays undefeated in the conference.
Leading in the hitting department for Fairfield on the night was Macy Rayburn with 12 kills. Lilly Bergren followed with 11, Rowan Terrell finished with six, Maggie Rayburn had five and Addi Ferrel ended with two.
Maddie Jones led the team in assists, roundup up 33 in the win.
Libero Kiya Robertson was the top defender of the evening, tallying 17 digs. Bergren ended with nine, Coty Engle had eight, Jones finished with seven and Savannah Hollander five.
It was also a great night of serving for the Trojans as Terrell finished with four aces. Ferrel finished with two. Engle, Jones and Bergren all had one.
Fairfield has owned the Chiefs historically, winning 30 of last 31 meetings with the one loss coming last year.
The win Tuesday is the third in the row for the Trojans.
Fairfield will be back in action on Saturday as it will travel to Ottumwa Evans Middle School for the Ottumwa Tournament.
